I ride the Lord's green pastures
On a horse I call my friend
As I ride I sing His glory;
Behold the beauty round the bend.
I am weary from life's troubles,
But His still waters comfort me.
And to my Lord, Creator,
I give thanks on bended knee.
I ride the Lord's green pastures
On a land so full of grace.
With sweet mercy never ending,
His love brings me to this place.
It is here I'm taught to listen.
His words sing in the tall grass.
So I pause upon the hilltop;
Find hope here that will last.
I ride the Lord's green pastures,
Knowing I ride not alone.
With my Savior right beside me,
I'll be guided safely home.
And when my life is over,
And I've said my fond goodbye's,
I'll be found with my Maker
Riding pastures in the sky.
